Get Barefoot & Grounded
For most of human history, we roamed the planet with little or no footwear, allowing for the free conduction of electricity between our bodies and the Earth. The vast supply of electrons on the surface of the Earth has been found to neutralize free radicals in our bodies and provide a range of benefits that scientists are only beginning to understand.
In our modern lives, we have lost connection with the Earth. We wear shoes with rubber soles and rarely make direct physical contact.
By making an effort to spend time more time outside and barefoot, we can reap the benefits that “grounding” brings. Walking, sitting, or lying barefoot in the dirt, sand, or grass for at least a half hour can decrease stress levels, reduce inflammation, and improve sleep.1
